Christmas and New Year at Cosi, a quick wrap

Christmas Day lunch on 25 December was a beauty. Full room, bright plates and friendly pacing that let families relax. Handmade pasta, seafood and salads moved well, the team kept glasses topped up, and the room felt warm without the fuss.

New Year’s Day lunch on 1 January had the same easy rhythm. Lighter dishes up front, fresh pasta to follow, a tidy glass list by the bottle or the glass. Plenty of regulars mixed with first timers and the feedback was all about clean flavours and calm service.

Across the festive week our à la carte dinners did what they do best. Simple Italian done right in South Yarra, quick tables for two alongside longer meals for groups, and a service team that reads the room. It was a reminder that a good night out does not need bells and whistles. Just proper food, good timing and a room that feels looked after.
